In my world, everything would fair, equitable and just. People would be rewarded in direct proportion of their effort. There would be no ulterior motives for action. Everyone would be honest. But that is not this world and as my mother says, "nobody said that life was fair."
I recently saw this statement that gives me hope that one day everything will be fair.
“To believe in God is to know all the rules will be fair, and there will be wonderful surprises.”
I can't wait.

One of my favorite quotes (from Holland): The tests of life are tailored for our own best interests, and all will face the burdens best suited to their own mortal experience. In the end we will realize that God is merciful as well as just and that all the rules are fair. We can be reassured that our challenges will be the ones we needed, and conquering them will bring blessings we could have received in no other way.
