February.....It's About..... LOVE

Having the cousins over for dinner last night. So glad to have the extra space. We ate lots of good food, laughed a lot playing "Curses" and genuinely enjoyed being together. The apron I am wearing-- my sister made it for me. I love the fabric. When I was growing up, I hated it when mom would wear her apron at the table, and all day. Ah... I am turning in to my mother after all.


The Stake Relief Society presidency leaving these flowers on my doorstep Sunday afternoon, along with a sweet note. I had gone to the hospital to see a woman in my ward.
The young women in my ward giving me a "heart-attack" along with a plate of sugar cookies. I'm officially on "this list." You know-- the list of the elderly, the single, those who need a little extra TLC :)
A Valentine card from my parents and my sister. And my sister made a cute table topper out of the fabric I sent her a few weeks ago.

Life is Good!

No More Tree....

A green thumb I am not; I am very good at cutting, destroying, removing, and simplifying. This is evidence. The pine tree had grown a lot in the last 9 years and was overtaking the garage. So, down in came. Thanks to Rob. He put it all in his trailer then we went to the green waste dump in American Fork/Pleasant Grove and dropped it off. Fee at the dump= FREE. Yeah!
He is coming back this week to do more work in the backyard. I just don't have time to do this stuff (barely keeping my nose above water and sanity in check) and he is the professional.

Birthday 2011

I've had a great birthday week.

Tuesday morning I got a flower delivery at the office. I LOVE FLOWERS. My sister and her family sent them to me. She also sent a card (she finds the BEST cards) and a CD from the Tabernacle Choir.




I went to dinner with friends. Then later I had more friends and the Thackeray cousins over for brownies and ice cream. Unfortunately no group photo to post on the new wall collage.


My friend Stephanie and her girls gave me this lovely scarf. I am in love with it and want one of every color.



Christie gave me this heart-felt card and some delicious Dove chocolates.


Blake and Kindra gave me this game so we can play it at our Valentine's dinner.


Jessica, JanaLee, Kyle, Jill, Tracy gave me a card, this pint of Ben and Jerry's (they know me well) and a beautiful rose.



A neighbor gave me some yummy smelling lotion from Bath and Body Works; other neighbors took me to lunch at Sundance on Friday. YUM! I also got lots of electronic well-wishes, a card from my parents, and mom's traditional "happy birthday to you" telephone call.

It has been a great week. Life is Good!
