Day 3- Clearwater Beach FL

Today was the final day of the social marketing conference. My 3 1/2 hour presentation on using social media in social marketing was this afternoon. That is absolutely the worst time to have to present-- last day in the afternoon. You would imagine that the beach was calling lots of people; others left for the airport to make it home before Sunday. Nevertheless, I started with 30 people-- what I expected. Ended with about half those-- for the above mentioned reasons.

The session was a smashing success. I had lots of positive feedback from the participants. I guess my hours of preparation over the last month paid off. Of course, the critic in me knows that I had too much material for the time, but it worked out okay. We had lots of participation and discussion. At least the people who were there really wanted to be there-- a much preferred teaching situation.

Tonight Trip Advisor steered me wrong-- the first time ever. Everyone on Trip Advisor was raving about the Clear Sky Beachside Cafe. But honestly, the food was not so good. If you want to read my review, wait a day or two and go to Trip Advisor. The meal last night was at least 10x better. The best part was when we left and went next door for gelato. I tried chocolate orange and coconut. Yum! Even Crabby Bills the first night was better-- and I don't really like shrimp that much.

Ended the day sitting and walking on the beach. This has become been a favorite way to spend my time-- much more enjoyable than with the sun at high noon.

Headed home tomorrow. Life Is Good!
